Serena Chan and Carl Munoz receive various scholarships for academic excellence from the University of Montreal

Serena Chan and Carl Munoz have each been awarded two scholarships for academic excellence by various entities at the University of Montreal. Congratulations Serena and Carl!

Serena was awarded one of two George Baril Scholarships by the Faculty of Arts and Science. This scholarship was created in 1956 on the initiative of Professor Roger Barré and a committee of faculty members. It is intended to encourage talented young people to pursue graduate studies in science. Serena was also awarded the UdeM Alumni Association Scholarship. Congratulations, Serena!

Carl, meanwhile, received one of the EPS-BIN Agreement doctoral scholarships awarded jointly by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine. He also received the Rey-Gaboury Scholarship. Congratulations, Carl!
