Having developed a passion for bioinformatics through interdisciplinary studies, Serena Chan completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at McMaster University. During this time, she conducted research on radiation therapy optimization at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and collaborated on natural intelligence-driven arrhythmia detection at the Micro- and Nano- Systems Lab with AI Atlas. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science at the Université de Montréal under Dr. Sébastien Lemieux, focusing on ranking-based gene network architectures for RNA-seq optimization.
