Léa Kaufmann is invited to the 31st Scientific Symposium of the Department of Biochemistry and Functional Genomics at the Université de Sherbrooke

As the recipient of the 2024 Simon-Pierre Noël Day First Prize, Léa Kaufmann was invited to present her research at the Université Sherbrooke Symposium. She gave a presentation on "[The] Use of gene expression profiles to predict the biological activity of chemical compounds in cancer cells" in addition to attending various student presentations.
In Léa’s words:
“On March 12, 2025, as the recipient of the Simon-Pierre Noël 2024 award, I had the chance to participate in the 31st Department of Biochemistry and Functional Genomics symposium at the University of Sherbrooke. It was an opportunity to attend about fifteen excellent student presentations and meet several professors and students from the department. The welcome I received was incredibly warm. We often talk about the stressful and competitive aspects of academic research. Still, it is simply wonderful when it combines kindness, passion, creativity, and rigor, all in a spirit of collaboration.”
